Pure Unification

I think I’ve made more music in the last 2 months than I did the whole of last year!

Finished another tune at the start of last week – Pure Unification – deep dub vibes; totally enjoyed going through my old tapes of the Coxsone Sound System; Tenor Fly, Mikey General, wicked sounds, and they excite me as much now as they did back in the 80s when I discovered them… I love it that I’ve come full circle – from making ragga and dub with hints of acid house, through to hip hop, with hints of electronica, to drum and bass, and back to dub, with hints of everything else I’ve made in the past 20 odd years.

That tune, plus Reflection, has started getting picked up by a few DJs – check out DJ Darkside on Rinse.fm this thursday (5th March 2009), and it’s starting to filter to other internet radio shows too.

I’m finishing the last tune I’m working on, which is sounding baaaad! Then I’ll be getting the mixes of my latest tunes tight for my WMC demo.
