Miami Winter Music Conference 2008

Once a year, a who’s who of electronic music descends on South Beach, Miami, for a week of deal-making, tune-promoting, performing, and serious partying.

Dates haven’t been announced as yet, but the Miami Winter Music Conference (WMC) usually happens around the end of March each year.

As my debut solo album will be ready for the big wide world around the time of 2008’s conference, I’ll be going along myself to make sure that all the right people get to hear it; I’m really pleased with the sound of the album so far, so I know it’s going to be worth going those extra (few hundred) miles to make sure it gets released and promoted properly.

It’ll also be a great chance to check out the latest DJs and live acts from around the world.

Seeing as I’ll be there anyway, I’m planning on playing a live show or two myself during the week of the conference; so, to any organisers of downtempo/electronica events that might suit my own brand of electronic hip-hop and chilled & dirty Drum ‘n’ Bass; do get in touch – listen to my music in the ‘listen’ section of this site, and click on the ‘contact’ section to drop me a line.

New Tune – Vow

I’ve just finished a new tune, with the draft title – ‘Vow’; I’m not going to be putting all my latest tunes up here from now on, cos I’m writing them for my forthcoming album, so no more sneak previews!

 I’ll keep you updated on the album’s progress of course, with the odd tune upload as I progress….

As promised, I’ve uploaded the recording of my live set with Tom Kennedy at the end of last month. For the fellow audiogeeks among you, we were jamming live using Ableton 6 on each of our laptops, synced by MIDI.
